G'day, A 500 You Wouldn't Expect
« on: September 01, 2006, 08:02:04 AM »
Hey fellas, just joined and figured I'd say my hello. Nice to be here. Going to be putting a 89 or later KX 500 lump into my Kawasaki Tecate 250 soon. I'll be looking for a frame/motor/all mounts/bolts/wiring and pipe soon so PM me if you have it.

A BIG WELCOME! Just jump in anytime!

I have a 90 kx 500 motor with everything but a frame, sub frame, and that left peice that the footpeg mounts on. If your not interested I could always use a kxf 450 frame to put it in.

Ahhhh,  three wheelers... I remember themmmm.....  uhhhh what was I saying?  Oh yeah,  three wheelers... I remember themmmm.....   Crap, that time I launched a Honda 250R into a 30 foot ravene filled with man sized jagged rocks and the resulting broken frame with concussion and the two weeks of amnesia has affected my recollection...  Anyway,  Ahhhhh, three wheelers.....   Be Careful and can't wait to see (and hear) it!!!!   Sly

WHat year 250R was it? Trikes are too much fun, imagine wrapping the throttle open on a 500 powered 250R! That right there is serious grin potential.

Still looking for a complete running motor, pipe and frame. Help me out please guys.

Welcome, I just joined myself. It is good to hear from a Tecate rider. I used to have a couple myself. Fastest d**n threewheeler made. Installing a k5 motor would be a blast. I wouldn't mind taking on a project like that myself some day. Please post some progress pictures. Talk to ya latter, and good luck. -Moe.

My IP says that? Well actually I'm in Newfoundland, an island province of Canada. Those pics are from a ghost town about 12km away from my doorstep. That house on the beach is a cabin.

Heres a pic looking back at where the second pic was taken from.

I grew up on three wheelers.  The last one I rode was my roomate's at the time Honda 350X with a bigger bore and a supertrapp exhaust. That was about 8 years ago.  Remembering how BAD that thing was.... makes me cringe at the thought of a TacateX 500.  I think I'm gonna have nightmares tonight.  Thanks alot! :-)
Rock it 'til the wheels fall off!

Hello all!

i quess i am the FNG? this is the first form i have ever joined, i had to join this one because it is a nice change to see people who can think and use uncommon sence (aka. common sence). and i have a ton of respct for any one who admits they are not god and know every thing.

one of my life partners is a 2001 kx500 i bought from a guy who coun't start is (the air filter had not even been oiled yet, it was a steel). i have sold a lot of my bikes and i am into the single didgets (i am working on starting a cycle shop so i needed to get rid of some clutter).
