Kx250 1994 spooge issue
« on: December 31, 2020, 09:20:11 PM »
Hello guys, happy new year to you all, just after some advice really.
I have a kx250 1994 super evo project everything appears okay at present however I have a small issue of spooge from my exhaust the previous owner had the jetting incorrect which I had to rectify first (also used a fmf jetting kit) so the jetting set up is fine, compression is fine ,I’m not losing gear oil ,I repacked my silencer to ensure it’s not saturated as it was wet and it doesn’t appear to be not fouling plugs.
Therefore I’m a little stuck for ideas my oil premix I run is 32:1 as Kawasaki recommend so I know it’s safe to run at this ratio. I’m using maxima castor oil which is different to the previous owner they used cheap rubbish oil.
The spooge isn’t as bad now but I still get spooge a little on the fender and silencer tip.
I haven’t used the bike scince doing all the restoration work only started to test it’s mechanically okay so not really riding it hard as could it just need a good clear out due to being sat ? Or due to the previous owner had jetting incorrect and I’ve not rode it ? Or is it nothing to worry about as it improves once it’s warm I revs through clean, I’m unsure but any help would be much appreciated, thank you for you’re time.
