Not a new member but just recently back to a 500
« on: June 16, 2019, 05:18:04 PM »
Like the title says I've been a member here since 2007 but haven't had a bike for the past few years. I've still been lurking around kicking myself for selling my old 500. Wasn't really in the market for another one but randomly came across something I had been wanting or dreaming about for a while so I decided to go for a 4hr ride and check it out. Made it out there and liked what I saw when I got there so decided to bring it home with me. Ended up buying a street legal plated kx500 from a guy in San Antonio about a month ago. He had recently built it for a friend of his and had gone through everything on the bike adding a lot of kx riders and kx guru inspired upgrades and mods.So with out further ado here she is.

Welcome back mlstoner660, looks like you really got a good bike there.  How about some video when you get a chance.  Is the guy that built it a member on here?
Perhaps I have a dirt bike addiction?

I'll get some videos up as soon as I can talk my son into letting me borrow his go pro. He said he doesn't trust the stick on helmet mount to hold at highway speeds. He hasn't used the stick on style so we're not really sure how well it actually sticks or what it can withstand and he said he doesn't want to find out it won't hold by me losing his go pro he just got for Christmas.  The guy that built it isn't a member but he said he got most of his build info from here and sand blasters kx guru site.
