Will KXF rims lace on to 1990's KX hubs??

Has any body tried lacing KXF 250/450 rims on to 1990's KX 125/250/500 hubs? I spoke to SM Pro in the UK and they said that the KXF rims have different drilling and spokes? They are priced at £209.95 delivered which is a fair price considering a set of spoke are £104.95 delivered

Thing is they said they could do me a set but plain silver rims instead of black and correct length spokes for KX but would be a lot more cash (also long wait) I cant help thinking they have an agenda considering anodising costs extra surely?

I only want them for a bike I am selling on so need to keep costs down, alternatively I will have to get a spoke set and have the old rims polished!

If memory serves, this is correct: they changed the bearings, and nipple sizes in the mid 90s.  I think Sandblaster has a way to fit the KXF rear wheels to a KX500, so I'm sure it's doable with adapters.  Hopefully he, Alex, or Oscar will read this and respond.

Hi no it is standard KX hubs I wanted to use but with KXF rims so bearings and spacers etc are not an issue, SM Pro said the KXF rims have a different drill pattern and could not be used with the standard KX hubs! Just had another ebay seller say that the KXF rims will work with the standard hubs and standard sized spokes so looks like my hunch may be right about SM Pro trying to bleed my pockets!

It would be nice if somebody could confirm for sure! The standard rims will mirror polish up but not going to be as nice as a standard silver finish set of new rims for the build I am doing!

Rims yes, 36 hole, just get the correct spoke kit.
