Are there any personal friends of Terry and Ty Davis on here at all?

I have found somebody that is prepared to strengthen and gusset my KX 250 1990 frame and read somewhere (possibly Eric Gorr tuning guide??) that they were connected to Team Green back in the day and had templates for gusseting that model, I know it is a slim chance that they will still have the templates and if so know where to find them (lost like the ark in Indiana Jones) but if you do not ask you will never get! Thanks in advance  👍🏼


Failing that I will have to guess and hope I do not stop things from going back together right or grinding chains on gussets etc  👎🏼

make your own gussets , these frame are easy to weld .are you gusseting around the area of the upper shock bracket bolt holes they cracked there with hard use.

Hi I do not weld but can cut and grind, plan is to strengthen every weld and every part possible, problem is I stripped before thinking about welds etc and not sure about what will clear or hit, want the two triangles filled in on the top similar to the picture but no holes and on top not the bottom as will be using a skid plate to look after the cases! Do you mean a similar type of gusset as seen on the 2nd picture but obviously on the top??

the 90 and 91 model kx 250 frame had bolt in upper shock mounts ,made out of alloy. its around these bolt holes area you would run a gusset.

Think I am with you, do you mean to make a one piece dog bone to go on the inner frame over the two large holes that the two alloy mini frames attach to? Thanks
