Question on 1988 KX125 rear brake pad installation?
« on: October 28, 2018, 07:39:56 AM »
I am rehabbing a barn find 88 KX 125.  Bike is in decent shape but needed some replacement parts. One being the rear brake pads.  They literally fell out when I removed the caliper. So my question is how does the pads and clips go back in the caliper?  I'm sure the large spring clip fits into caliper and the pads sit on top of it but nothing seems to capture the smaller pad? No idea how the two smaller clips go in?  Pics would be very helpful.   Thanks in advance

Hi KerryS55, welcome to the site. I found a .pdf copy of the service manual for the 88 models.  I have this printed for my 500 in my conversion, but I’ve never checked the brake section.  Take a look, and let me know if this helps.
