New Guy From Wa St.
« on: July 29, 2016, 04:07:18 PM »
Hey guys love the forum so far. I ended up here because I decided to buy a 07 KTM 250sxf with blown engine, was hoping for a top end rebuild but it ate a valve. So then the search for trying to find a engine that would slide on in there. Always wanted a KX500 as a kid and lone and behold its a pretty straight forward swap (I hope lol). Bought the KTM on a Friday found and bought a 87 kx500 on this last Sunday. Its a little beat up of course but plan to go through the engine and do all new seals and such and do a top end on it. Plan to street legal it and super moto the bike after all said and done. Already have a 08 KTM 450 for the dirt.

Anyways if anyone has any suggestions for someone that can help with the motor mounts/welding in wa state please let me know, its about my only hand up other then boring out the rear motor mount.

Things will be full swing for me on this build if I can sell my custom rifle, should give me lots of pennies to make this one sweet bike....otherwise slow moving lol. Any helpful suggestions on the build would be welcome.
