What are you guys doing with the petcocks?  My fuel line has to be almost kinked up against my intake it works but I am afraid it will rub a whole in the intake and fuel line.
also I cant pull the choke with out turning the fuel partially off otherwise its directly under the fuel lever.  do you guys just deal with this or is there a different valve you have found that works better?

Bike looks good!  What's the story behind the exterior head mods?

I used a CR 500 pipe that I welded the kx neck to.  You have to do a little "adjustments" with your hammer, but it fits pretty nicely. If you want an existing pipe, the Service Honda pipe has been used on a couple of guys projects. The pipe on Toby's bike looks like an FMF pipe made for the K5 that allowed you to use a special larger tank.  Notice how it goes over the shock reservoir like on a 500. Motorrad has one on his bike.

Sorry, I didn't see that he had switched bikes on that last photo. The pipe on his conversion looks to be a custom built pipe as well.

I bought the pipe off Pat who's selling the pipes on ebay..he got most parts, when SERVICE HONDA CLOSED!!  The pipe fits great and I made a mount the bolts on the front engine mount bolt. Id post a pic but Photobucket is jacked up and I can't upload. Went to the desert this TG weekend to open her up and do some jetting..running great fmf says 175 main. .ripping with 165/52 2nd notchfrom top on needle..was thinking of dropping clip one more..but the track I ride are at lower elevation. .

What is his eBay user name, or can you please post a link to one of his auctions?  I would like to take a look at the pipe. Thank you!
