88 kx250 linkage bearings

Hi Guys, I have been looking for a linkage bearing kit for my 88kx250, Ive looked through several catalogs and have come up with anything. Was looking for a kit instead of having to order the parts individually through Kaw. Also looking for a lower shock bearing kit. If anyone has a supplier or brand/part number, let me know.....Thanks!!

seems All-Balls may be your best hope...says they're in stock...do a parts search where it says "parts search" on the left, but I'd still call to confirm it...

you might find them cheaper on e-bay too...just be sure you get the correct part#'s from the All-Balls site, so you can match them up to any on e-bay...

Im having the same issue with my 88 250. Ive thought about swapping the swing arm, linkage and shock from a newer KX500. I believe it all will bolt on.

I think Sandblaster was working on a mock up for putting a newer swingarm on the 88 frame, but I couldn't find his posting on it.  It may be on his site oem-cycle.com.  If memory serves, the only difference was the upper shock mount.

Awesome guys, I found them being made through AllBalls - ordered them at work through Automatic Distributing......thanks I appreciate the tip!!!! if anyone needs part#s let me know and i'll post them.

that's a good idea...
until those parts start becoming obsolete :lol:.....unfortunately we're already seeing things for the '89'-04s falling into the "discontinued" field. Although, I'm sure there are other chassis out there that use the same bearings, but the collars/sleeves might need to be fabricated.
Otherwise it'll be off to a local bearing house...or, we might start seeing a whole lot more K5 motors being dropped into modern frames....but it's just a matter of time before Kawie discontinues the 500 engine parts...then, the panic sets in.

they were all I could find that had linkage bearing kits...there could be other places.
Pivot Works, who I typically use, only did steering stems, swingarm, and rear wheel bearings for the '88.

When the parts come in I'll try to cross ref them to other bearings, & I'll post dimensions
