Gear Oil?

<< < (3/4) > >>

Timbowe:
How long has ATF been popular with bikes? Like does it have a proven track record?

hughes:
Good question. I know of one person that has used it from day one in his YZ250. This bike is 5 years old now. My local bike tuner has been using it for 10+ years. I am going to stick with it and see what happens.

hughes:
Just keeping this updated. I have about 4 more rides with AFT Type F scents late post. This stuff really works. I encourge you to try it and you can feel the diff. in the shifting. Just my two more .02 cents

Johnniespeed:
I have used spectro clutch saver 10w30 for almost a year, recently the local dealer ran out so I tried spectro 80w gear oil. The 80w seems to downshift into first better at a stop. Keep us posted on the type F  ATF  because it would be a whole lot cheaper. I change trans oil once a week, which is about ten gallons of trail riding time. KX500 big hit is the best!

red:
It's all about the ATF type F.have been using it on all the bikes i've ever had,no problems.
