I think a diagnostic on what went wrong in the first place to save Pete & Repete from chiming in. Piston reading chart type stuff, cold seize , hot seize , detonation. green or silver speckled electrodes. If there's foreign matter in the piston crown, don't be a dum bass look at the main bearing cage

piston to cylinder clearance needs to be increased after about 100hp, or adding roughly 40 from stock.
this is a wossner in a stock bore.
