Checking In For The First Time
« on: October 09, 2014, 02:06:28 AM »
Hey fellow KXers!

My name is Howie and I'm addicted to KXs.  I grew up in Nashville, TN, where my Dad was a Kawasaki dealer in the 60s-70s.  One of the first bikes I ever owned was a 1969 G4TR 100 Trail Boss.  My Dad was a multi-line dealer and I rode and raced Hondas and Huskys growing up.  I didn't start racing Kwackers till 1989, when I bought a new KX500.  I loved that bike and raced it for two years.  In 1992, my Dad gave me a 1990 KX 500 for Christmas.  I still own and race that bike.  It is the ultimate beast and totally bullet-proof.  I also built a 2001 KX 250 completely from parts I bought off Ebay.  I raced and won two different off-road series championships on that bike.  I sold it and last year bought a 2007 KX 250.  I've been racing it and it's head and shoulders above the 2001.  I bought a complete KXF 450 rolling chassis and I'm about to put my KX 500 motor in it for the ultimate monster.  Unfortunately, I have to sell my KX 250 to raise the funds to build the dream 500.  I'll put some pics on here so you can all drool over the beast.

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
