CAD drawing of the 87-88 KX500 power valve
RoostiusMaximus:
correct. No Idea why the picture is squished looking.
sandblaster:
I know why it is squished.... :-D
If you post a link to a 7.569 Terabyte sized pic, this site will try to reduce the size.
The results can be interesting
RoostiusMaximus:
:-D
thanks

Roostius,
Just curious how many different styles of operating rods you've come across for the 86-88's ?
I've got three different ones and have always been interested in finding out how many different rods exist.
I was also wondering if you have ever come across a set of steel valves on an 86 model?, I only seem to find them in 87's and 88's
RoostiusMaximus:
I only have the 2 models shown, I think they are an 86+87 set from what sandblaster and I have discussed. One cylinder has the relief channels above the auxilary ports and the other does not. One has the shouldered crankshaft and the other does not. I don't know which set belonged to what, I bought a box of 3 engines and they were all in pieces.
