Gidday. Timbowe from N.Z. Got hold of a 92 kx500 a month or so ago 4 the beach. Got 120 km,s of good changing coastline 2 km,s from home. Five hundy is THE machine! thinking 'bout dumping pro circut and replacing with Gnarly and matching silencer. Veforce or boyesen induction as well. Fitted N Style gripper/ graff kit. Also got 04 kdx 200 for alpine rides. Had rainy summer here. Bit greasy yet to take 500 up in to mounts. Cheers blokes. Goodsite.

Welcome!I think Id leave the pipe and just get the V-Force.A KDX is fun,but dont let the 500 intimidate you in the woods,I love riding my 500 in the rain on some single track!

Pro circut getting a bit tatty and looking like it is past its use by date. I like nice shiney nickel FMF look. Match kdx. Happy as pig in sh\t  with gnarly on 200. V force or boyesen though?

Timbowe,
Welcome to the site. I also have the '92 since new and it has been a great and reliable machine.  A few minor setups like jetting, front springs and tires and it has turned into a formidible woods weapon, putting fear into the hearts of all the orange & red riders far and wide. Seriously, welcome! Lot of great people here and lots of great ideas and info. Cam

Y Thank you!  mine runs sweet as a nut. last owner spent big coin on the engine/gear box. total reco. Progressive springs added as well. Sound bike but well used looking. Gonna tidy it up. Paint frame ect.. Grafix kit on new plastics {that came with it] and gripper seat have all ready gone a long way. Really keen on getting back to sealed track on it. Doing the motard thing. Raced 92 ducati S/L for a few seasons down here. 5 hundy would be primo on the circut. quite a few quid 2 set up 4 17 inch tho.                                                                                                                                    Yes impressive site with heaps of good info Cheers Cam!
