i feeled so free to post your pics to show here right... to clear, which fork and brake caliper you have there, do i need a pic from the right side and which diameter are the fork legs??
here is my 87 with a 1989 41mm usd-fork (european and australia only in 89, us-models had a 46mm conventional fork this year)

OK correct me please if im wrong but now im even more confused. USD forks are the upsidedown forks right? all the 1989 forks i find are non USD they are convensional telescopic forks I thought they didnt go USD until 1990 ??

the Euro bikes had USD from the factory in 89...maybe others, but not the U.S.

So do u have any Canadian Members that might help lol Will the USD head stem fit my bike? i would love to go USD but dont want to buy the wrong parts as everything i buy is imported from the states to Australia cost me heaps in postage

There are a lot of members on here that have done front end upgrades/swaps....maybe someone will chime in....there's always the "search" option too at the upper left corner....you can find a lot of good info going back several years.

also u may notice in the pics that i have a bolt with thread on it that goes through the wheel their is only the small 4 bolt clamp on one side fork not on both i cant even find kx near my year that looks like that thinking more and more that its not an original kawie part

The one on the left looks similar to a 87.
The one on the right isn't correct for sure.
On the right fork tube as shown in the pic, is there mount for the brake caliper?
If so, what is the center to center measurement of the caliper mounting holes??
