Kx500 stator

85 and 91 are different, in about 89 there was a change, as I recall some had the older smaller flywheel and some had the larger which is what they used till the end

That link I had seen previously, it's located in the Netherlands I believe. Kind of looking for something in the states if possible with a working phone number and legit business credentials. Been burned with overseas outfits before.
Wondering
What the difference is from the 91 to the 99?
I found replacement coils but thought the same issue, not matching the year. The screws on the one I bought had not had lock tight applied and vibrated out, thus ruining the flywheel and everything else under the cover including the seal.
Will keep searching
Twosmokerfan:
Hey mate. I have a 1994 stator with lighting coil that I would be willing part with. It came off my bike along with the flywheel. I upgraded. Send me a PM

@don46:
the change came in 92! with a more weight crank and the bigger stator and bigger flywheel to get more torque, because of using the big smoker less on mx and more in desert-races. the cdi´s have also diferent numbers and wires , so i can´t say that the stators are interchangeable between 91 and older or 92 and newer ignitions. its possible that some older bikes where updated with the 92-2004 ignition.
@sharky74:
the ebay-links i´ve seen were all located in us.
i say: buy the 94 stator of twosmokerfan and your problem is solved... :-)
don46:
you can use any year you can find as long as you get the flywheel, stator and CDI, there are different part numbers along the way but from 86-89 you can use the flywheel and stator and CDi, interchangeably, the CDI has 5 wires I believe. there wasan optional heavier flywheel/ignition offer in 1989,
