No offense, but if you have that many questions, do you have the ability to do the conversion? There are alot of threads on this forum that address your questions already. If you can't find them then come back and we can revisit it.

hmmm... easiest way is to use a 2stroke -250 for the conversion. ... 8-)

2. idea is to use the y and framerails of an kx500- or kx250-frame and weld it to your kxf-frame...  i used the original k5-radiators, but with a little luck could the conversion be done with your kxf-radiators ...

I would say anything is possible with a little r and d and some good resorces machinist, fabricator ect. I would start by stripping the bike leave the swing arm and rear wheel. Drop the k5 motor in and see how it lines up to the rear sprocket. Maybe some machining? Maybe some spacers? Only one way to find out. Just get that thing lined up in the frame on that main rear mount and build from there. I would personally do a kx500 af if you plan on going through the retrofit process. Its been proven to work the best time after time and the r and d has already been done.

Here is a link to one I started a while back.

I am still not done but it will give you a idea of what you will be up against.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

100% agreed...  :-) with the right knowledge and experience you could build quite anything... i think at the moment to use a actual ktm 450- frame for the k5... fmf has realized a bike like this... i think its a good alternative against the the aluminium-frames...  :-)
