Could be they are running a little rich but they are spot on for a KX500  :lol:
And, I'm not saying there is something wrong with your bike but I do know that jetting won't fix a mechanical problem.
A 10 year old 2T has the potential for a bit of wear even if rode easy which is why I was thinking out loud....

Yeah, I wish i had a compression tester.... its got tons of compression though man.... kickin it over.
I called pro circute and spoke with the engine tech support and they suggested 165 main, 50 pilot nafg needle second clip from the top 50 power jet.

I don't know the difference between the NAFG AND NALF needle....

It's ok brotha, I'm going to mess with it some more tomorrow and ill let you know what I come up with. I'm leaving for lassen national Forrest to go ridding Thursday so I gotta get it done tomorrow....

I looked through years and years of old posts and found lots of people saying the newer kx 250s running very rich stock.... Some guys went as lean as 155 with 40 pilot.... I'm going to go buy more jets and get to tuning

Thanks Blaster, I seen this late last night on thumper talk... It looks like the NAFG is in a different category as the NALF... I'm not sure what the difference is. The bike shop opens in a half hour i'm going to head down an talk to them about it.

Looking at the chart,
NAFG diameter 2.715 - length 27.60
NALF diameter 2.705 - length 27.15
Bigger diameter and longer length should be leaner.
