1/2 or 3/4 turn throttles
Rookie:
Do they make throttles for the KX500 with a longer throw than stock? I have only found one place so far. Looking for something that's not so expensive.
Thanks,
Rookie
Rookie:
Bump....anyone got any info on this?
I may just have to make one myself.

I don't know of any that make you have to twist the throttle farther to get WOT, as you would run in to a limitation of human anatomy (your wrist can only twist so far). However there are some that have different cam profiles that adjust the rate at different parts of the twist. G2 makes the throttle tamer. One of the cams for it makes the first portion of the throttle slower which would make our bikes a little more carefree in the woods and other places. They don't make one specifically for our bike but I'm sure if you call em, one of the models oughta fit.
USMC 500:
I don't think it would be a good idea to have a throttle with a throw so long that you would have to twist, regrip, then twist again to get full throttle.....if that were the case, you would not be able to close the throttle all the way while riding with a single twist of the wrist when you are close to full throttle......could be dangerous.

Motion Pro makes a throttle kit that comes with different cams, but it is $133.
