Title: Newbie (hope I outgrow that soon)
Post by: Green Fiend on May 08, 2011, 03:58:07 AM
Hey Guys, so nice to find a site where everybody thinks like me (green) I have an 05 KX 250, an 04 500, a 2011 YZ 450 (sorry bout that) a KTM SX 50 mini for my son. My favorite bikes are my Kawasaki's hands down. I am from the old school and love my two strokes. Although I must admit the 450s put power to the ground in an impressive way. I have recently ordered a KX 500AF from service Kawasaki, and was wondering if I could get a real world report from the seat. Read all the reviews, but they are all from 09. I know the guys at service changed alot scince then as well as Kawasaki. Would love to know how these bikes handle, take to the air, Etc. Ordered it with the rad valves, ported, oversize rear tire and the suspension from MX. Really am excited about being on the forum. Trying to get my 04 500 running right. Think I've got an ignition problem. Always something! Do most of my riding in southeast NC. Mostly MX. Lots of sand and loose stuff. I can go to the foothills and get some "Georgia" clay. Thanks guys. Safe riding!!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the thumbs up. Hope that service bike is as bad as they say. Now my dilemma is which bike has to go. My wife put her foot down, said on had to go. Trying to figure out a way to stash one away. Be like selling one of my children. 8-)

Did she say one of "the" bikes or "your" bikes?  I see a kids bike that you could hide for a while :-D

Nice bikes! What brand is the stand that you have the K5 sittin' on?

The stand came from my local dealer. Sticker says the namebrand is K&L Supply C.O. also has phone # 1-800-727-6767 Can't remember what I paid. It's nice especially for the K5, fits perfectly underneath it when its down and just does lift both wheels off the ground when its all the way up. Never have to lift the beast!

Very clean machines and I like the shop too :) nothing better than the checkered floor for race machines.
