Title: brake hose banjo bolt washer
Post by: Nairns_Two_50K on March 22, 2011, 12:45:34 PM
I have taken apart the calipers on my kx 250 to powder coat them but when I re installed the banjo bolt, it leaks brake fluid.  Is it normal to replace the washer after removing it one time.  It is on very tight and still leaks alittle. I plan to order the washers from the dealer but wanted to make sure that i should replace every time removed.

As a rule of thumb for me anyways even on a car if i take the bolt out i replace the washers. If the system has never been apart depending on what year the bike is you may want to replace them anyways.

so i replaced the washers yesterday and it made all the difference in the world.  The bike is just about done now and should be coming out of the basement this weekend. I will put up pictures tonight of the build.  Dan
