Title: KX250AF Radiators
Post by: MarcG469 on March 07, 2011, 11:59:25 AM
Since there is no thread for a 250AF I will post this here. If it has been asked and answered I apologize. I am looking for a bolt on solution for my 06' KX250AF radiators. Since I bought this bike used I am discovering things as I go. What I would like, ultimately, is a set of Fluidynes. I had them on my 250F and thought they were amazing. So is there a bolt on radiator solution for this project?

Thanks
Marc

im using 02 cr250 oversized radiators the only thing i have to change is the water outlet on the right side so it doesnt hit the cylinder

I'm using CR rads as well, again moving the bottom hose location on the right hand size.

Just need the bottom lugs extending on the frame as well.

Do the stock 2t rad hoses work with these?

marco,

I used a set of 02 250 2t radiators, I only had to add a mount to the frame.

Here is my rad i've altered.  After 2 years I am now fabricating full mounts.  They have been quite safe on little brackets, but seeing as im keeping her, its time to make these little things permanent.

I retract my post from before about using 02 honda radiators. I spent 4 days trying to mock them to the frame and had one clearance issue after another. After fighting with it today i grabbed a radiator off of my 03 kx250. This will work from what i can tell alot easier than the honda radiator. The only modifications i will have to make is moving the inboard water connector at the bottom of the radiator to the back of the tank.

Don how did you get the cross overs to work. Is there any way you could post a pic?

the upper cross overs look like they will go straight through but the lowers youll prolly have to have cut off and welded up then have a radiator shop put 90 degree bend tubes on the back side of the radiators
