What chain are you running?
I`m fitting supermoto wheels to my -91 K5,
and with all that traction i suppose it will eat chains and sprockets....
What chain will handle the power?
Dont need another set of broken cases.....

i had to run a non o-ring chain due to tire fitment. i went with a gold non o-ring chain from rockymountainmc, i think their house brand chains are primary drive brand. i clean/lube it often. no complaints.

Just like slow600, due to tight fitting I'm running a non-oring gold chain as well. It still rubs slightly but no worries. What size rear tire are you running? I'm running a 150 on a 4.25 Excel and that set-up works awesome. As for wear, I'm hard on her at the track at least once a week and haven't seen any premature wear. I use Maxima Chain Wax very often too. Hope that helps.

I have a 5" rear wheel, using 160/60-17 Metzeler Racetec Drift.
The rim is slightly adjusted to the right in front.
D.I.D 520 ERT-2 chain, non o-ring.
But im not to impressed with the chain, it stretches to much......

i hate to make this to keep the chain from slapping the tire

I always ran z-ring chains, the non-oring chains develop a lot of side slop that chews up rims. There are some newer chains, T-ring etc. that are thinner with the same benefits. ProCircuit even ran one of these styles in SX lites, and claimed no power loss.
