Title: Any new KX500 retirement rumours?
Post by: Ramski on March 27, 2004, 05:10:02 PM
Somewhere I read about a next year would be the last for us. Anyone here different? I still don't see a bike that can unseat the KX500 in the desert.

I asked Destry Abbott a few months ago and he thought the 450 will see production soon and the nekt year or so will be the last for the 500.

I heard the same, '05 is the last KX. Good thing: They are all the same since '90 (cept minor stuff) Bad thing: Usally suppliers stop making parts shortly after. Unless it's still propular. Dunno! Hopefully I'm wrong. :-)

I dont think theres any good,it may be old school..but where can you get a bike that with a little work still wins national desert races for list price of $4,999.00?Acerbis has stopped making plastic for the 500,lets hope UFO keeps making plastic for it.
