I have a 97 kx500 motor being built and I was wondering if there is any modifying to the swing arm motor mount. I know the hole has to be drilled out to a 17mm but will the motor fit in between the stock spacers in the swing arm the way its supposed to. The bike is a 2009 kx250f
Thanks for any help, Nate

As far as I know the 09 engine is more or less the same as an 07 or even 04.
If you ask me, it fits.

will the 06 kxf 250 be an ok donor bike for the 500 conversion?

I don't Know, I only have experience with the 09 chassis. I'm sure you could make it happen my 09 chassis was a very tight squeeze, I can't see the 06 chassis being any tighter. Take a few measurements of the cradle area and go down to ur local dealer and compare.
