Title: Where to buy a cylinder?
Post by: Wayfast1500 on April 16, 2010, 07:50:41 AM
My kx cylinder is eggshaped, I looked into boring and having it replated but by the time I do all that I think it would cost more than just buying a new cylinder.  I looked on bike bandit, they are getting $410 for a cylinder, I remember reading on here people getting brand new cylinders for around $350.  Where should I go?

When talking about your bike you should list, like a parts guy would ask, "Make, Model and Year".
I was going to look up what the list price is so you would have a stock price to go from but I don't know if the cylinder changed from one year to the next.  All the motor guys here on the site say replate over getting a sleeve.

Also keep in mind aftermarket plating is far better than oem
