Title: KX500 from South Africa
Post by: rabitstink on April 25, 2009, 09:32:05 PM
Hey all
I have been lurking here for quite some time now, and have never needed to make a post yet as there is plenty of information available using the search function.
I am the proud owner of a 96 kx500, pretty stock other than a pro-circuit exhaust.
Seems that my big end went so it gave me the ticket to do a complete overall now and hopefully find some extra ponies in the motor :)
Awesome forum,  Keep up the good work all !

My bike is kind of in pieces at the moment, I have pics of the big end though. Seems like it got kind of warm.

Welcome to the site.  Where abouts are you located?  I spent most of a year in the Joburg/Randburg area. Nice place.  Cam.

Welcome Rabitstink I think your heat came from the wornout bearing before it gave up completely, but things will only get now and the tips you find here will help you get those extra ponies. CBX

Hoezit??

Familiar greeting in SA??

I am a SA ex-pat living in Ireland, nice to see that there are people still living in SA who actually ride green :-D :-D anything to do with Tyla Rattray moving from KTM to Kawasaki??

Anyway, welcome and good luck with the big green machine!! (sounds like a John Deere ad)
