A question;
I'm looking for some sort of reference guide for a given bike in terms of the distance between the seat and the foot pegs. I am taller, 6' 2", and my knees are older, 45. The rest of me is 16, :-D so, I'm looking to accommodate my knees with a greater distance between the foot pegs and the seat to reduce the angle of my thigh/lower leg so that it is easier to respond, stand, jump, etc.
My crf 230 has a seat height of something like 800 mm and a crf 450 says it is about 960 but I haven't sat on one to see if there is more distance between the pegs and seat.
The two times I rode a KX 500, it seemed like a better distance, better angle, than my current bike.
