Title: Kawasaki Motorcycle cover
Post by: Johnniespeed on October 27, 2008, 06:56:05 AM
Hi Guys.  It finally happened, my old motorcycle cover had enough UV sun baking to cause the material to get brittle and tear. It was a good cover, only $30 from NAPA, lasted about six years. Now I would like to upgrade to a Kawi Green cover with maybe some graphics, to look cool parked in the garage. Lots of motorcycle chrome, billet, seat and plastic graphics and other bling available. But I have not found any tricked out motorcycle covers. Kawasaki has a black cover with green Kawasaki name on it for $115 but not very flashy.
I am hoping that the collective surfing of this group will yield a great find. if anyone knows where to find a good looking cover , clue me in as I have not yet found any.
  Thanks for any leads. Johnniespeed

I was unable to find a better looking cover than the factory Kawasaki black cover with the Green Kawasaki Racing logo on it.  Babbits online has it for $78 and I ordered it. Babbits is only about 30 minutes from my house.  I was thinking there would be plenty of motorcycle covers with extreme graphics on them, you know, to really make the garage look great when the bike is covered. Apparently that is not the case.
After years of no covers or using old bed sheets, having a nice fitting cover is great. As soon as it arrives I will update on the fit and attempt to borrow a camera for a photo.
I am pretty sure I was the last guy on earth to get a computor and now am holding out to be the last guy on earth without a digital camera.

I dont know much about screen printing but I'm sure if you could come up with a design you wanted then you could take the cover to a screen printer and have it put on. Might cost a bit but if its going to stay in the garage and probably last forever then it may be worth your investment.  Original and one of a kind is always worth a little investment IMO.

Doesnt it seem odd that there isnt a large selection of cool graphics on bike covers ? It also seems odd that the covers arent available in every color imaginable.

Got the new motorcycle cover last night, it fits very well. The material is thicker than the Napa cover. But unlike the photo on Kawasaki website this cover has the word "Kawasaki" in block font in white letters. Kawasaki's website shows the black cover having a green logo that says "kawasaki racing" Pehaps those are sold out.
If anyone knows of any covers that are better looking, let me know.

The cover part number is K 63000-100 retail is $114.95 but Babbit online is $78.36. The Yellow car is my 1957 BMW  Isetta, there is a better pic in the gallery.  I found it on it's roof all rusted out, the owner gave it to me. Four years later it shines.
