Title: worlds fastest dirt bike

Post by: bigbellybob on June 26, 2008, 05:30:44 PM: BDI we have talked about going to the lakes and bringing a box of gears, i think if we get a cool night we should do just that, i know I'm breaking 100, but by? the kx5 should smoke that 123mph with taller 5th, super small rear, and big a$$ counter :-D

maybe a gps speedometer for exact speed is an option.

i,m curious what a single cyl.500cc is capabel of ,
we had disccusions about them not going faster then 130 mph.
due to the big piston and the top rpm it can handle

I think the Honda guys were stripping things off of it to get it to be more aerodynamic. Ill have to dig that test up.

i think i remember that, didn't they take the front brake off too. and i remember a discussion somewhere about the aerodynamics of the water cooled bikes having more drag because of the rads and shrouds. the old air cooled bikes had better aeros

BBB I'm all about it. I say we gear them until they slow back down or death shake, what ever comes first. :wink:
