Short answert is yes, provided you have all the pieces to include the wiring harness. Long answer, you may have to use a degree wheel, find out the timing of both motors (probably the same) ensure the flywheel and stator line up, there are timing marks on the flywheel that will line up to the stator. It can be done, may or may not be easy.

yeah I think it should work I just have to carry over all the electronics even tho they both use the same ignitor and the same coil the only diff i noticed is my stock harness has a voltage regulator on it

The 03 also has a voltage reg. Its for the powerjet carb.

Yeah I guess I should have clearified my stock (03) bike had a voltage regulator but on kawasaki's web site they dont show a voltage regulator for the 05-07 bikes but the harnesses look identical but then again the part numbers are not the same: 03 harness part# 26030/ 05 harness part# 26031

The only diff i can figure in the pics i've seen is that the kill swith wires on the 05 harness are longer...so im not for sure.
