Yes, it's really good. I did a few things to mine and made it even better.

Best Wishes,

I have read in Dirt Rider, and Motorcycle USA that the KLX is the best play bike.  The extra weight and softer motor seem to keep in in 4th place behind KTM, Honda, Yamaha (according to the magizines).  But the same magizines also say pick a color and you will love it.  It sounds like it likes to run at a lower RPM which is fine with me.  I almost never rode my KX500 in the powerband.  I like to lug around, and when the time is right let it open up and haul!  I think it is the best looking also.  Destry nice to see you on here.  Your opinion is back with some real professional know how!!!!

I see that that picture is a KLX500, but has anyone here done the mod to a KLX?  I am in Australia, and want a ripper 500 engine in a new model 450 chassis.  Looking at the KLX helps, as I want it to still be registered and street legal.  Am looking at this as a project bike.  Any advice?  Anone done it?
