Title: Will this radiator cap work for my bike? (Quick help needed) 2004 kx 250f
Post by: Knyteguy on April 29, 2006, 05:17:25 AM
Hi, I managed to lose my radiator cap yesterday, and I need a new one.

49085-1053 is the same as a ford fiesta radiator cap, which my local auto zone has in stock for 5 bucks.  Would the -1053 cap work for a 2004 kx 250f?  Thanks in advance!

For $5 it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. According to that site it seems like it will work just fine.

Code: [Select]
radiator cap
(32mm ID x 16mm deep neck)
0.9bar / 13psi
Same as 1978 Ford Fiesta

Just out of curiosity, how did you find your way here?

I think I saw a link from automodding one time, not completely sure though.

The cap mentioned there ended up being too big, but I did find a cap with a lower pressure rating, that does fit at auto zone for 7.50.  A lot better than the stock cap for $25.00+!

Watch your temps with that lower pressure rating.
