That price is out of this world. That would be worth $3000 at most. Bikes that have sat in storage usally contract junk somewhere. I have a hard time believing that it was never cranked or oil/gas was put in it.

I'd buy that. Shipping over to here is the only prohibitive. Owe ya too much by the time it was landed and tax paid on it. Nothing like new gear though. If it is new.... :|
-
Hey Tim, how about if you buy it and I will ride down and deliver it to you!

You pay for gas and I'll have a fresh set of rubber waiting. Then I'll show you what the south has to offer.
-
I have someone that may want to buy my business and If I get the right price I just might come down south and take you up on that offer! Got any guest bikes?
Alan :-D

Can be arranged. But sorry not enough KX500's to go around. Maybe a four stroke? :-o

It seems very odd that it has sat for 5 years and never been used and no original photo :? If i had a brand new 5 hundie sitting in my garage i would be on it with bells on. :|

Looks like he has put it back on e-bay with photo's.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4635755048&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT
I need some money.
-
He must have done that in the last couple of hours,1 nice looking piece of new machinery, same colour scheme as my 1990.
I just want it ! Wonder what it would cost to send to New Zealand ?
Anyone know what year the 5 hundie went to,im thinking 2004 ?
-
You'r right. 2004 was the last of them. Athough the local agent here had the last new one in the country that went to Rotorua. I tracked it down to try and buy it of the guy. Unfortuatley it was not for sale. I got mine from NSW Australia in what was supposedly very close to new condition. It was'nt what I was lead to believe it was. Anyway cost $800 to have it picked up from the shop, crated, and shipped to me here. There are some outfits that specialize in shipping bikes from the States. Owens international and others. But remember the GST tax when it comes in. Also the exchange rate is not so favourable these days. But it is a "new" KX500 and worth a look at. Never get another.....

Well done on your last of the legend score, yep the risks of buying on line, when i bought mine on line the guy went into detail saying what size needle it had in it, that it would need chains and sprockets soon, would have been nice if he had mentioned there were no back brakes cause the pads were almost gone to the naked eye, especially on one of the worlds gruntiest moto x bikes that all you want to do when it comes of the back of the truck is kick it in the guts and have a blast! - i suppose its let the buyer beware.
