G-HOPPER I am interested in hearing how you do on ordering one of these tanks ( 250-500 conversion ) Please post your findings thanks

Indy
Did you need a different exhaust to be able to fit that tank?
And how much petrol/ Gas does it hold (in litres please cos US gallons are not the same as English gallons) also do those tanks come in clear? cos I like to be able to see how much petrol is in my tank.
-
Well, I've emailed them twice but havent got any response. I really dont know if I want to call all the way to Belgium. But I sure do want one of those tanks. Mabey I will, just have to think about it some more. I'm not sure if they speak english or not and I hate to waist the call. They have a web site, its Jadoulmotosport.com if anyone else would like to try.

Hey Indy, what other modifications did you have to do to put that bike together? (Rear fender, sub-frame, etc.) :
-
Hello Indy! I'm trying to attach a 250 seat, could you tell me did you weld on tabs or use a 250 subframe? Thanks, yzmike.
-
Well, I've just received word from Indy about the fabrication, and if I understand correctly he said the subframe is compleatly original. But the rear fender is cut in half, the front is 500 and the back is 250. But I can't see how the seat is mounted without welding on tabs. Any ideas?
-
Hay Mike, I know its not right but my brother rides a cr500 with the tabs on the sub frame broken off. He just uses the two bolts in back and where it hooks to the tank. The seat hasnt fallen off yet, but if it were me I'd weld on some tabs. If you wanted to switch back to original you could always cut them back off. A welding shop would do it for cheap. Not much work. Did you order the tank? I'm still thinking about it. But right now I'm still happy with my new graphics and seat cover. Good luck and please keep us up to date on your progress. 8)
