Title: Need a Mono-Shock for an '85 KX250
Post by: Smash2k5 on April 29, 2003, 07:34:03 AM
Ok, one of my buddies is into racing (like his dad). His dad has a 1985 KX250 and his dad blew out the back mono shock jumping. He is now trying to get rid of the bike because he has a new one and wants to SELL THE BIKE FOR $300. He says it runs great but cant find a monoshock anywhere. Does anybody know where I could find one or find some type of replacement?

Unless the shock shaft is bent or the body of the shock is cracked or something along these lines then the shock should be rebuildable. No reason to buy a whole new shock($$$$$) when you could rebuild the old one and be into the bike for less than $500($300 bike plus less than $200 for shock rebuild at a bike shop).
