Yes sir.. Kiwi Green.
It's a bit brighter than the stock green but it really makes it pop 8-)
-
Just had to mock it up a bit...

I made a CAD file and Jason found a guy to burn them out.

A few of you noticed all the missing inserts on the sub frame...
I've been waiting for the Nutsert gun to come in so I could fix it..
PERFECT!!!

I have one of those, and I love it. I use those rivnuts on everything I can.
-
Will an M8 Riv Nut fit where the seat bolts go in the subframe? I've been thinking about replacing the small M6's with M8's like all the new bikes use.
-
Yes it will but just barely.
I would only do it as a last resort due to how thin the sub frame is and I would not want to weaken it.
However, the M8 would be way better than drilling it all the way through and bolting from the far side as so many do
-
Yeah that's what I figured on the M8 Riv Nit. I agree that drilling all the way through would be a bad idea as the subframe would collapse if you torqued the nut and bolt too much. I'll leave the stock M6's until they need replacing.
-
This will show you the size difference..
-
Thanks Sandblaster! That's about how I thought it would look. If drilled properly, it looks like it would just fit between the upper and lower surfaces of the subframe rails at it's o.d.
-
Yep... with just a whisker or two to spare..
-
Since M8 Nutsert is a bit deeper than the M6 so I decided to try it as I had a Subframe that had a hole in it that was to big to repair with a M6.
Yep... It works 8-)

Since I'm doing a freshen up on this bike I may as well turn this thread into a build...

F'n right...I've always preferred a plain look too...preferably the "stock" look.
