Math experts! I switched to Motul 800 for my KX125 recently and put 2.5 gallons of fuel in my gas can (not the bikes tank) and the fuel/oil ratio is approximately 34:1 I'd like to lean that out to about 40:1
How much fuel should I add to the 2.5 gallons of oil mixed fuel already in the can to get close to 40:1?

Dude just run that thru the tank at that ratio. And start over next tank. Just f*****g pin it, it's a 125 for Christ sake

One of theses mixing bottles is a great purchase. It shows you how much oil to get your mixture exactly where you need it for a given amount of gasoline. It’s definitely worth the $5.99, and it has a lid to store a refill for longer trips.

The Ratio Rite is a great item too...even a 4yo can figure it out.

Just a thought, Motul 800 is designed to run at 50:1 for hard core racing applications and 66:1 for trail riders.
I've been running it for 8 years at 50:1 with no issues.
Remember... more oil means a leaner fuel/air ratio....
Yes... I did say that

Exactly...prepare to change jets/jetting if you start changing ratios....or you can do some ugly damage.

Or for the math, you need to add 56 ounces of gas since you added 9.4 ounces of oil for 34:1 in 2.5 gal (320oz). At 40:1, that's good to make 40 x 9.4= 376 ounces which is 56 ounces more than the 320oz. 2qts is 64oz so that's pretty close....

Thanks Motorman!!! That's exactly what I was looking for.
