Title: Kx250f has high compression
Post by: Carbyman on May 22, 2016, 11:53:53 PM
Hi guys I'm a new member first off all.

Now I've had my engine rebuilt but it seems to have heaps of compression while kicking over.
Bike runs great starts easy but it just seems to be have way too much force to kick over.
Bike has done 3 hours since rebuild valves are at 006" timing marks are correct I've even replaced the auto decompression lever thinking it might be worn although it does feel loose in there.
It way harder to kick over compared to my old 2007 kx450f and current 2012 kx450f
Anyone got ideas

Thanks

exhaust should be at .17 to .22 mm inlet should be .10 to .15 mm on valve clearance , check your cam chain as they can kink with a lot of hrs therefore making it harder to turn , what was the extent of the rebuild ,what parts did they use , we need more information , is the crank turning smooth and freely ?
