Title: what year kdx200's do the transmissions swap

I see 83-85 are commonly associated.  Just wondering if anyone knows if all kdx200 transmission swap together or for example are the 83-85 vintage different from the 90's?

Do they swap from 82-06?  I know the part numbers are different.  Just wondering how much of it swaps with one another.  Hopefully someone knows

Late to the party I know. Just for future reference, I know E series ('89-'94) and H series ('95+) bikes transmissions will swap between cases as long as you use the corresponding shift drum. On '88 and erlier bikes I have no clue.
