Title: General Paddle Tire Question on my son's 05 KX 144

My son has an 05 KX 125 with the Athena 144cc big bore kit.  He is wanting to go with some buddies to the dunes in western Oklahoma.  I have never ridden a motorcycle on dunes, but it looks like fun.  Do you guys think his bike will pull a paddle tire, or should I send him with one of mine?  What kind of paddle tire is the best, and how much would one run?  Thank you!
