I have an 08 klx450 and would like to get another set of forks for it but can't find out what will swap. I've tried searching part numbers but haven't made any progress. Does anyone know what 250 or 450 forks will fit the triples? I'm kind of at a loss, all I can think of is going to a mx track and asking to measure people's forks. Thanks in advance.

Why do you want to swap the forks? The 2008 Kx450/kx250 front forks are a direct bolt-up.

According to the "internet" the upper fork tube has not changed part numbers from 2006-2015, so theoretically the forks from all years will fit in the triple clamps. I did not check the front wheel/brakes however

Your KLX has the same forks as the kx without the SFF or air fork. Springs and valving woudl be the only diff. Spring first and then valve for what u do.

Well, it's a project that I'm having a friend work on that I don't want to divulge till its done, but the gist of it is that it will be used for 2 different types of racing and I'd like to have forks for both styles to make setup quicker. Thanks for the fast response. Will the 250f forks through those years be the same as the 450 forks?

That makes more sense, read like u did not like your forks and wanted a KX set. The 250 twin chamber do cross, just springs and valving different. 2012 are a SFF fork, junk IMHO, Air fork are just one more thing to fail that will cause a DNF, seen it plenty at Enduro's. At least if u blow a seal and start leaking u can a least finish and sort of have suspension.

Thanks for the help. I'll be sure to start a thread when the project is done, I just don't want to make a bunch of hype incase we run into problems and can't finish it.
