Kawasaki are you listening , can you please throw some of your technology at a few bigger 2 stroke dirt bikes , you will make a lot of people happy , you are capable , don't worry about the little bit of smoke they make as it nothing compared to the 100 000 hp ship engines  you make? :-D

So Kawasaki's big marine engines, and the 48% (highest ever achieved I believe) energy efficiency engine are 2 strokes. Am I missing something here?!?! Perhaps they will bring that technology to a motorcycle or car some day.

They are working on more economical 2 stroke ship engines as we speak we need a new 250 2t , there are plenty of guys on new ktm and yami 250 2 strokes over here in Australia , now they brought in laws that you have to keep them stock except a pipe , in the nationals , but for local stuff you can do what you want, it shows you they want the 2t out but the privateer cant afford to run 250f , plus you have to modify the 250 f to a inch of there life to keep up. Half of the field are privateers on 2 strokes , when are the japs going to wake up , as good as the h2 and h2r are , how many people need a bike like that , and how many guys need a new 2t dirt bike , just about every guy on kx riders and more , now how do you let them know , as I tried talking to dealers and most are how bent on selling valve bikes, is there any jedi out there may be you could you the force on them?

Do want! The R sounds amazing plus it has winglets. Im thinking a purchase should be directly followed by a trip to the Salt Flats...

Bought the wife a '12 ZX14R. Put pipes on it 196-203 RWHP. After riding it I can not imagine another 100 HP. Makes my V-Strom 1000 feel underpowered when I get back on it to ride! Crazy stuff. My guess is the HP wars will need a 'gentlmen's' agreement like the top speed limit agreement.

Saw it at the International Motorcycle Show in Seattle. Really is a nice looking bike. Very cool engineering to get it all together in a compact package. Wife wants to mortgage the house and buy one! She was kidding...

supposedly my local dealer is getting one for the "floor"....he also said that they're only allowing one per customer....this is just "hear say" from the manager, but I can't wait to see one personally.

the deal is done too....the final orders were taken/accepted the other day.
whoever was lucky enough to put in an order before the due date, will be the only ones to own one.

d**n , I would have expected a supercharged beat down. You can hear the rev cut kick in near every shift on the zx10 so it's being ridden right to the edge, but 225 or so hp vs 300 wtf

d**n , I would have expected a supercharged beat down.

not to discredit the ZX10 in any way...but yeah...that's what I expected too.
though the ZX could've been tricked out...but it never said if it was or not.

Zx10 said "full bolt ons" whatever that means. I'd assume full exhaust , PC, air box snazz, Googled & the most I saw a zx10 putting down was 210hp crank. ???
Title: Re: Ninja H2R
Post by: Foxx4Beaver on May 05, 2015, 08:52:24 PM
bolt ons mean little...I was referring to internal motor work where bigger gains can be made...i.e....reworked head, big bore kit...ect.
