I have a 2002 KX 100 that has a high speed miss. It has a rebuilt motor (new top end and main bearings). I have tried two different cdi boxes, two different stators, a complete different electronics package from an older model, different coil pack, reeds, and carburetor. Nothing has worked and I was wondering if anyone here has had this problem. Thanks for any info. :?

Are you running race gas? When my son raced 80's I tried to run VP c-12 it would not run on the top end, drained the gas went 50/50 no problem. didnt have enough compression for the octane

I've tried pump and race gas. I also have used Kawasaki and Maxima synthetic 2-stroke oils still same problem. Here's the big kicker too I purchased another 100 and the motor was good in it. Did a swap and had the same problem.

Disconnect the kill switch and try it.
If that does not work I would run a grounding strap from the motor to the frame.

Already tried the kill switch too but not the other. Will try that when I get some decent weather. Thanks!
