Man am I having the worst time finding "BLACK" side panles for my 04', KX500!!!

I've now tried motosportoutlet.com, and ridegear.com
They both said they had them, and sent me the wrong ones.
They sent me ones from a 03', KX125/250

They both say that they're computer say's that part # is for a KX5, but they both agree, that they are wrong!!! :evil:

I've now got an email into UFO. We'll see if they answer??

Thanks,I have a feeling your not going to find new black plastic.I havent seen any in quite awhile and I had as much trouble trying to find aftermarket white side panels (there arent any).

I wonder if the older one from a 89' KX250 would fit?

Well I got my reply from UFO, and here it is;

They are not available anymore for that model in Black, just green and white.

Plastic will start to get really tough and expensive now that they are not making the KX500 anymore.  My advice, don't thow away any old 500 plastic unless it's totally trashed.  There are products out there to polish them and make them new again.  Buy ANY new 500 plastic a dealer has now! Basically, follow the rules that vintage bike owners use.  Sad to admit, but it's going to get tough and expensive to keep a KX500 looking new.

Plastic is pretty much down to Green and White now. The only thing White you can find is fork guards and possibly a front number plate.

The white KDX front fender will also fit, thats what is on mine.
