Just picked up my son a kx100.
He's been bugging me to get him a new bike.
Runs great, just has a leaky petcock valve.
Just need to get him a new paddle...

I can't wait to ride with my son. It must be awesome.

He started riding at 4 but by the time he was 8 he lost interest.
Now that he is 13 he sees me going to the coast or desert with my friends and realizes that he's been missing out.
So we'll see how he does.
I'm sure he has some catching up to do..
But it should be fun.
It would be nice to have him and my dad blowing through the dunes together.

The kid is making some headway...

Had to order all the petcock seals...
Otherwise he would have had it put back together..

I just pick up a JR50 for my little guys 5th birthday. I hope he likes it as much as i do!
-
Nice, I started mine on a pw50 when he was 4.
I know some start earlier but I wanted him to really know how to ride 2 wheels before getting something with a motor.
After riding it for about 5 minutes he was begging me to adjust the throttle governor higher :-)
Hopefully he'll stay with the sport.
I sure am glad that I did.

mine is going to get a XR50 for her birthday (3rd, end of the month). I started her on a Strider Bicycle when she was 1yr old. and needless to say, she is ZOOMING everywhere on 2 wheels, feet up. Get on a street with hills, she hangs with me on my big MT bike. scary...
had her up fishing in the sierras, and she was riding the Strider in the dirt, what made me click and think she was ready was as she was HAULING down this big dirt hill, the front end started to tuck and wash out in this loose dirt. she did EXACTLY the correct body english counter lean bar twist to bring it back, all instinctual, no thinking, no worry on her face. never even dabbed a foot..
was kind of amazing to watch for a 2yr old..
PS. you need to clean more than just the jets if it had that much "growing" going on in there. PM me if you dont know what im talkin about
