Just wondering if anyone had ever thought of doing one of these? I have seen a few RM and CR's but cant find a single pic of a KX. Was thinking this might be a fun idea to try now that I have my 250AF done. Any opinions?

Room shouldn't be a problem :-D
It would probably be a good conversion if you are light enough to ride it.
That would leave me out :-(

How about a kx100 big wheel framed 125cc for the wives or little folk?.......
-
Sanblaster I weigh in around 200lbs at 6'6" in height and can make a 125 scoot. I was also wondering would the weight of the bike go up with an aluminum frame or would it be lower? I know room wise for me my 250 af has lots more room than my 03 kx250 chassis. Obviously the 125 is way more compact so putting it in the other chassis would be a cake walk compared to the 250.

My son and I have CR125/500 we built. The ergos are great and the bike handles sooo good. I does not seem small to us and we are 6ft/185.

I'm 6' and 220.
When I hit the sand on a 125 it bogs down and is hard to ride.
Up to 3rd gear it's fine.
As soon as I hit 4th that's when I start having trouble.
This is especially true when I get into the whoop sections.
I guess if you ride in the dirt it would be fine.
Now my Buddie who is 5' 8" and weights 165 can scream on it.
As far as weight of the bike, I don't know as I have never done a chassis comparison.
I have some engine weights recorded but nothing smaller then a 250cc.
I will have to start doing some weight recordings on chassis.

Hmmm I may have to look into trying this. I know it made my 250 alot more enjoyable to ride. I was just thinking it would be fun to try since I've seen the 200 in a 250f conversion.

Yeah those are sweet!!.The more I keep researching and reading the threads on here on the conversions, the more I need to get off my a$$ and do one.

Why bother ,our kx12508 handles better than any 250f out there,if you want a better kx125 put later model forks ,or shock on it,AF frame does not mean a thing when trying to go fast around a track except the look factor, there a good chance its even heavier than the steely as they usually over engineer af frames to make them strong enough.
-
I did see one on a 2 stroke site once,it did look good though, and was a 144 to boot.

Guessing that your motor is a 03?

-
Not with that cylinder
-
that's a modded jug with a KTM 150 piston, and VHM head with a 13.cc insert.

I guess we'll see :-P
