Hi folks,
new to the KX scene.
im a regular at banned, im into CR's in a big way & enjoy building G1 AF500's ( NO! SH its not your right )
recently took up the VMX challenge, decided to run 1985-1990
So ive bought a few bikes of late.
My YZ490 on its way from the USA.
85 CR500
86 MX500
86 YZ490
87 KX500 ( reason im here )
Well id best be off to do some research .....

PS...im not a hippie star gazer .... if your behind me, my bike will be bowling asteroids at you.

Nice collection I'm working on the the same thing I have a kx500 just picked up a wr500(yz490) I have a cr480 and I'm about to acquire a cr500E(a factory street legal cr500) now I just have to find a good ktm its almost easier to find the 550 than the 500 or even a 495 I guess any would work and I don't think there will be a Suzuki to complete collection as the rm500 is really rare, expensive and parts are hard to find. Killer collection man beautiful af500 hope my collection looks that way soon

the MX500 KTM is a 4sp, were as the MXC is a 5sp.
theres more in the USA then in Europe.
Ive got a few more but there projects to be completed.

Then theres the, cars, quads, boat, ski.

d**n I love that collection. Really clean stock bikes are getting harder to come by. Like they say in the muscle car scene theyre only original once. Big bore 2 strokes rock, dont matter what color. What years the CR, I'm playing with an 86 myself.

Bought another .......
81 ... i now have an 85 & 86 CR500's
USMC ... all good, you'll find im pretty thick skinned

1986 CR500, has engine issues .... but i have an 86 motor on the shelf.
