O'NEAL Riding Boots ?

(1/2) > >>

89kx500:
i purchased a pair of "O'NEAL ELEMENT" riding boots and the first time out on my old kdx, i came back with the right inner side of the boot ripped, i'm not sure how or when it happened , i must have slipped off the peg or something, i told the place i purchased them from and the called the company and got them warranted, i wasn't expecting them to do this , but thought it was good of them to do, today while riding my kx500, again i got alittle air born and came down only to have the new boots tear in the same place ( on a different bike ..) i don't know if its just the quality of boot (they were only $100.00) or my bad luck. anyone else ever run into this ? :?:

Dan_AKAL:
89kx you aren't the first person that I have heard complain about those boots.  Were I you I would see if the folks you purchased them from would take them back and apply the purchase price toward a different pair of boots.  It seems everyone has their favorite brand of boots for whatever reason.  I like Gaerne's as they have always worked well for me.  I also need a wide boot and these seem to fit the bill for me.

thanks guys,
i know they weren't a $300.00 pair of boots but i expected more from them, o'neal has been around for awhile. in the end they did do what they were suppose to do as my foot was not injuried,i'm just shocked that they came apart like that under "normal riding conditions", well, my normal riding condition.

Dan_AKAL:
The RX2's are good boots and a little less expensive than the others.  I've worn them and know quite a few others that wear them.  Some like them and some don't.  I didn't have a problem with them.  Worth a consideration when you replace your Oneal's.  I hear you about the Oneal's doing their job but it seems as though they would have had less damage.
