I remember Richie Owens raced a KX500 at last years Mammoth MX and was either second or third in the Open race. This year he finished fourth in front of Ty Davis on a KX500. This was the only picture I could find of Richie at this years race. It's cool to see some pros still racing the big KX in motocross.

That was cool!It was a while ago, but thats all there was at one time..all green with a few red bikes,it was cool to see the first turn with all those KX's!Now you dont see them any more,but Richie proves there still a bike that can win on the mx track.Thanks for the picture.

Shaun Kalos raced a KX500 at Mammoth this year. He said he was doing well but overshot a table and hurt his back. I'm not sure what he ended up overall but he always does well.

Hey Jeff, do you still have your 500? I'm trying to talk my brothers and newphew into coming out to Phoenix next year to race the WORCS.

I do still have the big green booger. It's a fun bike so I'll have it for a while. Phoenix didn't have a WORCS this year. I was told they lost it but that may be just a rumor. Let's hope for Phoenix and all the riders it comes back next year. I would love to have a chance to race one now that I have a 250. There is a new series AMRA starting in November. It's mostly local guys but it'll be an AMA series. Let us know if you're heading out this way.
